Is it hype or the real deal?

The area is serene and charming! Plus, the hotel’s dog-friendly policy was a major win for me.

Dingy rooms with broken amenities. The noise level was unbearable. The experience was anything but pleasant!

So I stayed in the Queen Room with Two Queen Beds for 2 nights. The room was clean, but the bathroom sink was plugged, and the refrigerator froze my stuff. The bed was kinda uncomfortable—you could feel the springs. Also, the lighting was super dim. The area looked pretty, and I appreciated that it’s dog-friendly, but overall, it has seen better days.

Didn't like anything, except stains everywhere.

We found a nice spot to hike on the Black Swan Trail in Grass Valley, which was perfect for our family outing. The scenic landscape was lovely, and it was a hit with our child. The property is also close to the Placer County Visitor Center, where we enjoyed some arts programming.

My kids wished there were better dining options nearby.

The fresh air and pretty area were an absolute delight! Plus, I discovered some local gems for dining nearby, giving my taste buds the adventure they crave.

While the room wasn’t quite a five-star stay, the peeling paint and stained towels added a quirky story to my Grass Valley tale. At least I got a good laugh out of it!

The area around Golden Chain Motel had this charming vibe, really nice for walks. My room felt clean, but the bathroom sink was plugged, which was annoying. The fridge froze my drinks, and the lighting was pretty low. The best part? It’s dog-friendly, and that really made my pup happy. The manager was nice and seemed like they cared, but man, the place has definitely seen better days.

This place suits me perfectly. It has free wi-fi, free parking, and a swimming pool. The staff once helped me with directions to attractions, which was great. I highly recommend it for a comfortable stay, and I'm coming back soon.
